Why did you start practicing yoga?
I started practicing yoga in January 2019 in a effort to improve my health. I had been a bit unwell and knew that I needed to do something. During that 2017 Christmas break, we traveled as a family to a yoga shala in Thailand, one owned by a friend of a friend, and did yoga for 4-5 days as very first time. Upon returning to dubai I found Nilaya house as recommendation from one of the teachers in Thailand. I started then my yoga practice, first with ashtanga and then exploring other forms.

What kind of yoga sessions do you practise, eg, online, in a studio or personal zoom or personal in-person.
I mostly practice via online classes and in a mixture of forms of yoga: Ashtanga, Iyengar, Yin and some Restorative and meditation classes.

How has yoga benefited you?
Yoga has helped my physical well-being , and has also been very helpful to how I feel as a person mentally and general outlook. It has been very helpful for me as a person overall and has been one key activity given meaning to my life. The practice provides positive outcomes to many aspects of my life. The varied practice suits me as I benefit from each in a different way and in general I always have a positive feeling after practicing, no matter the form of yoga. All are good for me.

Why do particular reason you like practising with me?

I appreciate practicing with you Aparajita as you are a positive person and you have always good intent, and you are direct and encouraging in your manner with your students. At the same, time you are exacting and are very professional in how you manage the class. A sort approachable professionalism with empathic enthusiasm. You are down to earth and that makes us, as students, more comfortable which in turn allows us to explore, extend our efforts, and to try to go further in the various poses. All adding to the practice.
