Why did you start practicing yoga?
I’ve done yoga over the years intermittently since 1977. I started Iyengar in London in the 90’s during a time when I was living a very stressful life and found it specifically suited me.

What kind of yoga sessions do you practise, eg, online, in a studio or personal zoom or personal in-person.
Currently, I also do Ashtanga and Yin as well, but Iyengar is so particular about getting alignment and precision of placement that I am challenged, yet gratified with each little improvement. As I used to tell one of my teachers, I measure my progress in centimeters.

How has yoga benefited you?
Also,`I would say as I’ve grown older, and not “going for the burn” has allowed me to remain flexible (although certain parts are less co-operative than they once were), but I am more aware of where I need to work without overdoing it, and how to get there.

Why do particular reason you like practising with me?

Aparajita, you know I think you are the best — patient, knowledgeable and humorous! You also allow each student to progress at their own rate. No pressure, other than the pressure one puts on oneself to improve and get that next pose down! I know my weaknesses and you gently nudge me to go just that little bit beyond, and for that I thank you.
