Why did you start practicing yoga?
I started yoga almost 20 years ago, I wanted to find something that would help me relax physically and mentally. Since then, I would do yoga on and off throughout the years, but it was never my main form of exercise.

What kind of yoga sessions do you practise, eg, online, in a studio or personal zoom or personal in-person.

How has yoga benefited you?
Yoga has been the one type of exercise that I keep coming back to. The benefits and relief, both physically and mentally, are not something I get from anything else. Iyengar yoga specifically, has resonated with me. It is different to all the other yoga classes I had practiced. It makes the most sense to me. I feel it is scientific and educates you about your body, the purpose of each pose, and how your body can benefit from the pose. It has taught me to be in tune with parts of my body and muscles that I never gave much thought to. It explains how every part of our body, big or small, physical or mental, all come together and play a vital role in our well being and physical presentation. It has also helped in lengthening and strengthening my body, and improving my posture.

Why do particular reason you like practising with me?

It was Aparajita who introduced me to Iyengar yoga. I connected with her as a teacher and my appreciation of Iyengar yoga grew from her classes. I learn so much from her in the lessons, I love how she explains things, her attentiveness to our body and every move we make, her warmness and sense of humour.
